2015 Dogs and Awards

The Cookie Monster!!!! We all get a treat when the heavy heat subsides and autumn allows us back on trails again. Seamus leads a chase around us as we hike sometimes in a ritualistic circle called “the Cookie Monster Is Coming!!!” Very fun for the youth in the group. Myself and an elite minority stay still and tremble like Romanoffs realizing the castle has been seized!!

This is The Great Athlete Of The Year in my pack. She is consistently the winner of every and all contests involving the ball. ( Team Sina :: is her FB page…where you can see pics of her beating the crap out of any and all Novice Dock Diving dogs, hands..er..paws… down). No dog is as athletically gifted. Also, strangely enough the winner of The Miss Congeniality Award. sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!

Otis, 8 months old sweet German Shepherd X, and Buddy, the John Belushi of the group hazing in young Otis. Buddy McCarthy is a red Hungarian pointer (Vizla) with an absolutely wild sense of humour who, when he sleeps over, nags you til you share your blanket with him. He’ll pick your pocket, run like a rocket, and never ne’er will sit in a docket, no he won’t, no he won’t, he’s Buddy McCarthy Boy!

Sir Charles the PartyGoer. Charlie is famous for entering a park and providing excellent social value. He is a giver not a taker. He will start a chase in a gigantic circle in any park, to the delight of all the young and fun dogs. Best friends are Buddy and Toby.

Ruby the Voracious finds true love; someone she can beat up. “Wuwu” is past winner and current title-holder of the Cute Puppy Award. She does not have any clue that she isn’t the size of a Retriever. She is smart as a whip. Gifted in Geography. (runs off on her own to check on her fave spots as if on a mission, returning immediately. Not a dilly dallier).

My Tulip eying an old member of the pack named Ari Gold, whom we hadn’t seen for ages, his owners needing us now that there’s a second baby on the way. Tulip had the hots for him 3 years ago and earlier.

Mlle. jasmine de la Game Hunting, (Ann Sarah) contemplating a leisurely swim after the ducks beyond. Her motherly older sister, Indie, watches from behind her. Indie is savouring a wresting match in which she triumphed over her younger sporty sister. Jas has enormous athletic prowess, swimming after ducks for hours continuously without breaking a sweat.Title Holder of Best Hunter.

Worlds best all round dog we have ever had in our pack. Best all round dog of all time is Rufus above forefront. Left hand dog is ole poppy Dopolous who is a 3 year old English Golden retriever. Cannot compete very well in the class races but makes up for her athletic deficit by teaching all young new recruits to misbehave and wrestle and bark manically and annoyingly to the teacher, which of course is the most fun a party animal retriever can have.
